A creative home

We had art and craft stuff in many different places throughout our home. Each kid had art supplies in their bedroom. I had my craft supplies here and there. Duplicates of many items were scattered. We gathered everything into the living room and began sorting. Any supplies that were no longer good were tossed and some were donated.

I purchased two large cabinets to centralize our items. One cabinet is primarily "mom" only items and the kids need permission to get those supplies. The second cabinet is kid friendly and those art supplies can be freely accessed by all. Each cabinet was around $120.

We used containers from around the house and in the garage to sort and organize. The kid cabinet has folders for "I'm not finished yet" projects. It also has large plastic buckets from dollar tree. The buckets are to fill with the desired items, take to a table, fill back up when done and sort items back where they go. The buckets make a HUGE impact on the efficiency of the kid cabinet.

The kids love having everything in one place and it had made my life much easier!
